Taro Hanaukyo's mother recently died and so he moves into his grandfather's house. When he arrives, he finds this house is actually a gigantic masion filled with a legion of his own personal maids.
Review
Hanaukyo Maid Team La Verite is a decent entry into the maid genre. Each of the prominent maids get an episode that builds their character, but these, along with most of the series, could be classified as filler. Not much actually happens in this series, and the main storyline doesn't pop up until the last few episodes. It mostly deals with the relationship between Taro and the head maid, Mariel, but it never gets too involved or overly dramatic.
Overall, I found most of the episodes to be pretty entertaining. A majority of the series is spent with Taro and his maids goofing off, like when they play a game of baseball, go to a comic convention cosplaying as famous anime characters, and when they explore a secret underground labyrinth full of traps. These episodes make for some good times because the maids have some humorous personalities. The only maid I didn't care for was Ryuka, she is a stereotypical rival character who comes across as annoying most of the time.
Rei Tanaka sings the gentle opening theme song "Voice of Heart." The ending theme is catchy and plays to a cute, super deformed animation of the triplet maids. Speaking of the triplets, these seductive maids insist on spending every night with Taro and are quite funny. Overall, the show is pretty well animated with a moderate level of fanservice throughout, including some detailed nudity.
There really isn't too much here that makes it stand out among other maid or harem shows, but it is a solid series. I also thought it was neat how nearly the entire last episode plays out like an epilogue. Hanaukyo Maid Team is simply a fun little series.
