After their father's death, Terry Bogard and his brother Andy have been training to become strong fighters.
Review
Based on the game of the same name, the Fatal Fury OVA is comprised of two lengthy episodes. The first episode is 45 minutes and the second episode is an hour and nine minutes. The first episode can be watched by itself because it does come to an end. However, the second episode does a good job continuing what it started in the first episode.
In the first episode, Terry and Andy witness their father get murdered by a man named Geese. After ten years of training on their own, they return to their master, who is going to teach only one of them a special technique which would allow them to defeat Geese. In order to prove which one of them is the better fighter, they join the King of Fighters tournament to show off their skills. The better fights happen near the end of the episode, but I didn't think any of the fights were that all that great, and are pretty short, too. Also, the way things progress in this episode is very predictable.
Next, a kid named Tony watches Terry kick butt in a fight against Kim's Taekwondo style. Tony decides to become Terry's disciple against his will, following him around wherever he goes. Later that day, Terry is defeated by a man named Krauser due to his injured leg. Having been bested, Terry no longer has the will to fight and begins drinking. When Andy and their friend Joe hear of his defeat, they leave their dojo to help Terry get revenge. This episode provides some fanservice with the introduction of Mai, who is a rather fun character. There are several fights in this episode and they're all quite good looking.
For those who have played the games, you'll recognize many characters from the games along with their signature moves like Terry's Burn Knuckle and Geese's Happuken special. All the characters get at least one fight. The animation is decent, with the second episode looking a step above the first.
The first episode is average, but the second episode is much better. When it was over, I felt that it successfully created likeable characters, and that they had each got enough screen time. If you like the game or enjoy fighting shows, I recommend checking this out.

Some profanity.
Violence
A lot of fighting, and there is some blood. A few people die.
Sex
Mai's skimpy outfit and a short bath scene with Mai that doesn't show anything. There is a groping scene used for comedy purposes.
